Get the Scoop on Climate Change on June 28

On June 28th at 4 p.m., the public is invited to enjoy ice cream and the debut of a video and booklet from the National Research Council (NRC) that are designed to help people understand the science of climate change and current state of knowledge.  The new resources are based on a number of National Research Council reports that represent the consensus of experts who have reviewed hundreds of studies describing many years of accumulating evidence.  Antonio Busalacchi, Jr., climate professor at the University of Maryland and Chair of the NRC’s Board on Atmospheric Sciences and Climate, will be on hand to answer questions.

The new resources will be posted at http://americasclimatechoices.org  on June 28. Climate-focused groups are invited to come learn how the materials might be used in their outreach.
