Visitors to the Koshland Science Museum’s new Earth Lab exhibit, unveiled last September, have been able to see how their own virtual choices might affect greenhouse gas emissions. Earth Lab, which is based in part on the America’s Climate Choices suite, features an interactive simulation where participants choose actions that align with priorities they value, assess the trade-offs of those choices, and see the results. Players can also compare their choices with those of other players.
We encourage you to visit if you haven’t already. Admission is $7, or $4 for students and active military. Please contact the Koshland Science Museum at 202-334-1201 or ksm@nas.edu to arrange a tour.
