Including Health in Global Frameworks for Development, Wealth, and Climate Change: Workshop Summary (2014)

In 2012, the IOM Roundtable on Environmental Health Sciences, Research, and Medicine established the Global Environmental Health and Sustainable Development Innovation Collaborative to connect and leverage expertise across a variety of fields related to sustainable development, including economics, energy, environmental sciences, medicine, public health, and health communication through multidisciplinary collaboration.

The Global Environmental Health and Sustainable Development Innovation Collaborative held a three-part webinar series in the spring of 2013. Participants in the webinars examined frameworks for global development goals and connections to health indicators, the role for health in the context of novel sustainable economic frameworks that go beyond gross domestic product, and scenarios to project climate change impacts and health outcomes. This document summarizes the webinars.
