Bringing Experts Together
Facilitating Discussion, Discovery, and Cross-Disciplinary Thinking
Throughout any given year, we convene hundreds of conferences, workshops, symposia, forums, roundtables, and other gatherings that attract the finest minds in academia and the public and private sectors. These venues for discussion and debate are essential for allowing the scientific process to unfold. Published proceedings chronicle the presentations and discussions that take place at these activities.
Advising the Nation
Each year more than 6,000 of the world’s foremost scientists, engineers, and health professionals volunteer their time to address some of society’s toughest challenges by serving on the hundreds of study committees that are convened to answer specific sets of questions. Our peer-reviewed reports present the evidence-based consensus of these committees of experts.
