Quality Water from Every Tap

A Workshop of the Environmental Health Matters Initiative

The quality of U.S. drinking water is at risk as our water infrastructure ages and environmental conditions impact source water conditions. This workshop will explore the paths we can take to increase the quality of water for systems that do not meet today’s drinking water standards — especially focusing on communities that lack adequate resources and expertise because they are small or declining in size. Participants will delve into existing scientific knowledge on this issue, from a variety of disciplines, exploring topics from social science to technological development. Our goal is for participants to share and generate innovative thinking on how to improve quality, empowering leaders with the science they need to move the needle on this complex challenge.
